Mo' Nana!!

We have a new word at our house--"nana." Which of course, refers to Ryan's FAVORITE food: bananas! He loves them and wants to eat them at every meal and snack. This afternoon, he had his cheese, cereal and a little bit of banana for his snack. He was full, said "all done" and was doing fine, until he spied the banana. He said, "mo' nana." I told him no more and he threw a fit, screaming for "mo nana!" Oh boy!!!

Almost here!!

March for Babies is tomorrow! I can't believe that Ryan was only 5 weeks old last year for the walk! Anyway, we are praying for great weather!! Can't wait!

(I have gone the entire week without blogging--not sure where the time has gone!)

A boy thing?

Ryan loves to play with cars. I've noticed that he makes car noises when he plays with his cars and trucks. Don't ask me where he picked this up, I think it must be a boy thing. Do your little boys do this? Is it linked to the Y chromosome? Whatever the reason, I think it is pretty cute!

Snow in April

Early Riser

I have never been a morning person, but my little firecracker, Ryan, wakes up around 6 or 6:30 everyday. That is perfect during the week, but he doesn't seem to understand the concept of Saturday! So, we have been up since 6:30. Jamie is sleeping in this morning, (we take turns) and we have been up playing, having breakfast and watching the SNOW. I am fully ready to start accomplishing things and planning my day. I have a shower to plan and would love to get on the phone and start getting things done! But, I know that it is rude to call people at this hour of the morning! (Although, I see that Bree and Rochelle have already blogged about the snow--I know they are up!) However, this is my time for some un-interupted Ryan time and I should relax and enjoy playing in our jammies!

Not ready!!

Well, our babysitter is sick, so I ended up taking today off. So, I offered to watch the other little girl that Mindi watches, since we are friends, neighbors and co-workers with them! I have had 2 kids, 12 months apart all day. Oh my, I am wiped out. My sweet little Ryan, has wanted to play with his toys, but only after he sees Madison pick it up. There has been lots of screaming on his end. If he could say, "mine," he would! It is also hard for Madison, since she has only been here a few times before. They are both napping right now, which is giving me a little break! After lunch, they were playing pretty well together, but I was SO glad when it was naptime! I am not ready for another baby! If you hear me getting baby fever any time soon, please remind me of today! I know it is totally different with your own, but today has been a challenge. Kudos to all you mommies with more than one!!!

5 things

Teresa recently posted about 5 things that she is into right now, and asked others to do the same! Here's my list!
1. The Jumble! I do the jumble every day online, and a bunch of other jumble puzzles! www.jumble.com I love it!

2. Special K bars or snack bites. I love them, they taste like cookies and are only 90 calories in a pack!

3. My hair straightener! Since I got a haircut, I've been using it more and more and loving it!

4. American Idol and The Office--I'm shamelessly addicted! I can't wait to watch every week!

5. Hmmm...this isn't a new thing, but musicals! I loved Hairspray and just watched Enchanted. Loved them!

Okay, your turn! If you are a blogger, post your list!

First Steps!

Ryan took his first steps tonight! He walked from Jamie to me--about 3 or 4 steps! We were so excited, and Ryan just kept clapping for himself. He did it one more time a couple seconds later. I knew he was getting really close and I'm glad that both of us were here to see it!

Picky!

Ryan has been a picky eater since we started trying finger foods and table foods. He will not eat any veggies, even though he loved his veggie babyfood. His new thing is spitting out food and throwing what he doesn't want on the floor. So, I have a baby who won't eat veggies AND a messy floor!! Today, he did eat the carrots out of a can of soup at his babysitter's house! Should I just start cooking his veggies in broth? I also got the Deceptively Delicious cookbook this weekend and am getting ready to start tricking him into eating those veggies!!! Although, I'm not really looking forward to pulling out the food processor again, cause I just put it away!
