Catching up!

I know I have neglected my blog lately--it just has seemed like there is so much to do, and I'm lacking the energy to do most of it! Plus, it seems like January has been fairly uneventful. So, here are some pictures from Christmas to re-cap and catch up.

Resolutions

It is a new year and time for resolutions!!

1. Work for at least 30 minutes on my thesis every day until it is finished.
I HAVE to be done with it by March 18, and I do have mini deadlines set along the way for each section. I am a last minute crammer kind of person and need to keep pressing on in order to get it done in a timely manner--without going crazy!

2. Pack Jamie's lunch 3 days per week.
Seriously--it adds up when Jamie eats in the cafeteria every day. And while he gets that amount deducted from his paycheck so it isn't quite so painful, it would be nicer to have that money in our account!! I think he is on board--he packed his own lunch this morning and that counts!!

3. Spend 30 minutes cleaning and organizing my house per day.
It seems like this is always my resolution--keep my house clean! But, I'm hoping that setting a time limit will help me stick to it and be more productive! I realize that the next few months may be really challenging with this resolution, but I'm going to do my best!

4. Pay each bill as I open it, instead of putting it off.
I think we have all been there--where you find a bill sitting in a pile of mail and it was due yesterday! Most of our bills are all online now, but those pesky few that still come in the mail drive me nuts. I am going to be diligent about this and try to avoid the last minute scramble and dash for the post office!

Big Month for Nicholas

At the beginning of December...well, Nicholas was a little cranky. He wanted to move, but couldn't. He rolled and scooted a little, but he was not getting where he wanted to go.
During the month of December, Nicholas learned:
--to go from his stomach to a sitting position.
--to wave (and it is seriously cute)
--to pull himself to standing
--to crawl!
--to start taking tiny little steps and cruise around the coffee table (while holding on!)
Nicholas also got his first tooth this month! And I gave him his first finger foods--puffs and then a banana!

Watch out Oregon--Nicholas is on the move! And he is a busy little guy! He is definitely keeping me on my toes and I am frantically trying to get things out of his reach! (He puts everything in his mouth!) He is so much fun and we are enjoying this stage--as we Nicholas-proof our house!
