We were on our way to church yesterday and Ryan asks me, "Mommy, what Jesus DO in your heart?" I had to clarify what he was asking, and he asked again, "What Jesus doing in there??"
That made me think and I told him that Jesus forgives us for all that we do wrong, that he loves us and helps us to make the right choices.
Ryan thought about this for awhile and then said, "But I not see Him!" I told him that Jesus lives up in Heaven and that when we love Him we can go see Him there after a long time. A few more seconds of thought and Ryan said, "But I not see Him!"
I love that seeds are being planted and that Ryan is asking these questions. I just pray that God is working in his heart and drawing Ryan to Him. And I can understand his frustration--sometimes it would be so much easier to be able to see God and know for sure what He wants us to do!

It must be the age because I just had a very similar conversation with Macy last night. :) I love the honesty!!! :)
And then every once in awhile, usually when you are feeling the most discouraged, there is a sign. A subtle, amazing, beautiful sign that makes everything fall into place again.
