I posted awhile back about needing to learn something new for the class I took this summer. I finally decided to learn how to knit, and I learned how to knit about a week and a half ago. After a confusing trip to the craft store, trying to pick between the 1,429 varieties of knitting needles and yarn with a screaming toddler, I was all set. My friend Katrina said she would teach me, and at first it was REALLY hard! She was a great teacher though and I got the hang of it, and kept practicing while we were on vacation. You can tell which end I started at! I have since pulled it out and started over and the new one looks much nicer!! (I also got an A on the paper about it for my class, which makes it even better!) I really enjoyed it once I started getting better and it was great to do on our long car trips to the coast and Yakima. I don't know if I'll get ambitious and try to do something other than a scarf, but it was fun!
